Ashgabat, February 6, 2026 — The Europe Today: The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), acting under state programs and directives of the President of Turkmenistan, has invited its members to participate in the construction of multiple industrial, agricultural, and social facilities across the Balkan Province, according to Thursday’s issue of the newspaper Balkan.

Under the proposed plans, the industrial zone of Balkanabat will see the construction of new production facilities, bases for private construction companies, and a refrigerated warehouse for the storage of food products.

In the Bereket District, projects include the establishment of a livestock farm, the introduction of water-saving technologies, and the development of fruit orchards. Entrepreneurs are also encouraged to construct a wedding hall, a household services center, and a shopping center in the village of Galkynysh.

Plans for the village of Jebel in Balkanabat include the construction of an expanded clay production plant and a cement factory. Meanwhile, in Ekerem village of the Esenguly District, a plant for iodine production is expected to be built.

In the Gyzylarbat District, development plans call for the construction of a wedding hall, two retail stores for food and industrial goods, and a fish farming enterprise.

Additionally, under state programs and presidential directives, a brine shrimp (Artemia salina) production plant and a livestock complex are set to open in the Turkmenbashi District. The Etrek District will also see the establishment of two livestock complexes with an annual meat production capacity of up to 10 tons.

The initiatives reflect Turkmenistan’s continued efforts to strengthen regional development, diversify the economy, and expand the role of private enterprise in key sectors across the Balkan province.
