London, February 9, 2026 – The Europe Today: The Prince and Princess of Wales have said they are “deeply concerned” by the latest round of disclosures linked to Jeffrey Epstein, according to a statement issued by Kensington Palace, media reports said.
In their first public comment on the issue, a royal spokesperson said Prince William and Princess Catherine remain focused on the victims, following the release in the United States of new documents related to the late financier.
“I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations,” the spokesperson said. “Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
The latest disclosures have renewed scrutiny on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor over his past association with Epstein. Last week, Mountbatten-Windsor moved out of his Windsor residence earlier than previously announced. Buckingham Palace had earlier said he would vacate Royal Lodge in early 2026, but his departure appears to have been brought forward.
He is now reported to be living on Sandringham Estate, which is privately owned by King Charles.
Mountbatten-Windsor maintained a long-running friendship with Epstein and remained in contact with him after his 2008 conviction for a child sex offence in the United States. While he has previously apologised for his past ties with Epstein, he has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
The continued release of documents in the US has intensified pressure on Mountbatten-Windsor, with renewed calls for him to give evidence to an American inquiry. Among the materials made public are images reportedly showing him in a compromising position with a woman. No context has been provided for the photographs, and it remains unclear when or where they were taken.
