Dashoguz, February 18, 2026 – The Europe Today:  Gas workers from the Marynebitgazgözleg expedition have secured a commercial flow of natural gas from the Hazarly-2 well at the Hazarly field, situated in the western part of the Bowrideshik structure in the Gorogly district of Dashoguz province, according to the Nebit-Gaz newspaper.

Drilling operations at the Hazarly-2 well were completed at a depth of 3,000 meters. The productive gas flow was obtained from a reservoir layer located between depths of 2,739 and 2,755 meters.

Specialists estimate that the well is capable of producing approximately 163,400 cubic meters of natural gas per day, marking a significant addition to the country’s hydrocarbon output.

The report noted that the use of domestically produced, high-quality materials and modern drilling equipment enabled crews to complete operations in full compliance with established technical standards.

Exploration activities at the Hazarly field are ongoing, with drillers continuing work at the Hazarly-3 well to further assess the area’s resource potential.

In parallel, Marynebitgazgözleg teams are conducting exploration drilling across other regions of the country. Operations are underway at the Uzynada and Barsagelmez areas in Balkan province, as well as at the Minara field in the Murgab district of Mary province.

The latest development underscores continued efforts to expand Turkmenistan’s natural gas production capacity through systematic exploration and the application of modern drilling technologies.
