Islamabad, February 21, 2026 – The Europe Today: Professor Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Director General of the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) under the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, Government of Pakistan, paid an official visit to Smart STEM High School & College on February 19, 2026, where he commended the institution’s advanced STEM-based academic framework and blended learning model.
During his visit, Dr. Mazhar conducted a detailed tour of the institution’s facilities, including its Science Laboratories, dedicated STEM Labs, Language Lab, and central Library. He appreciated the modern infrastructure and well-equipped laboratories, recognizing the institution as one of the largest education systems within Pakistan’s private corporate education sector. He noted that the school’s approach of integrating technology, innovation, and conceptual learning reflects a forward-looking vision aimed at preparing students to meet future challenges.
Interacting with students and faculty members, the Director General underscored the importance of promoting the Urdu language alongside scientific and technical education. He stressed that social sciences, arts, and cultural studies play a vital role in nurturing intellectually competent and culturally grounded individuals. Sustainable national development, he remarked, requires a balanced emphasis on science, language, heritage, and ethical values.
On the occasion, Dr. Mazhar presented a collection of Urdu books to the institution as a gesture to encourage linguistic enrichment and literary engagement among students. He also held an in-depth meeting with the school’s faculty and management, appreciating their commitment to maintaining high academic standards and fostering innovation-driven learning environments.
The NLPD extended a formal invitation to the faculty of Smart STEM High School & College to visit the department to explore avenues for academic collaboration. The invitation was warmly welcomed by the institution’s administration.
Dr. Mazhar further lauded the integrated health and education ecosystem of Capital Smart City, describing it as a unique and progressive model in Pakistan that harmonizes modern urban development with quality educational and healthcare facilities.
