Jakarta, February 27, 2026 – The Europe Today: Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower is set to launch the first phase of its National Vocational Training Program in April 2026, targeting 20,000 recent high school and vocational school graduates with industry-ready skills.
Manpower Minister Yassierli announced on Friday in Jakarta that the program is open to individuals who have completed high school or vocational education within the past three years. He described the initiative as a complementary pathway to the government’s National Internship program, which is designed for university graduates.
Registration has officially opened for 37 training fields across 33 locations nationwide. The program will offer a total of 830 classes delivered through online, offline, and blended learning formats, all led by certified mentors to ensure high-quality instruction.
Participants will receive structured training modules and, upon completion, a competency certificate issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), enhancing their employability in the job market.
To facilitate participation, the government will provide lunch and a daily transportation allowance of Rp20,000 (approximately US$1.19). In addition, trainees will be covered by work accident insurance and death benefits throughout the duration of the program. Training centers under the ministry will also assist graduates in connecting with industry opportunities upon completion.
Minister Yassierli expressed optimism that the program would generate strong public interest and emphasized the importance of aligning participants with training fields suited to their educational backgrounds, thereby improving their prospects for employment.
