Beit Shemesh Missile Strike Kills Nine as Regional Hostilities Intensify

Beit Shemesh

Beit Shemesh, March 2, 2026 – The Europe Today: At least nine people were killed and more than two dozen injured after an Iranian missile struck a residential neighborhood in Beit Shemesh, central Israel, according to emergency services.

Rescue teams worked through the rubble to retrieve bodies, clear debris, and extinguish fires caused by the impact. Burned-out vehicles and heavily damaged apartment buildings were visible at the scene as emergency crews continued search and recovery operations.

Authorities reported that several of the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, while search teams combed through collapsed structures amid concerns that additional victims could be trapped under the debris.

The strike comes amid intensifying hostilities between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with further missile launches and airstrikes reported across the region. Explosions were also heard in Tel Aviv, as Israel signaled that military operations would continue.

Officials have warned that the situation remains volatile, raising fears of a broader regional escalation.
