Iranian Missile Hits Al-Udeid Base in Qatar

Doha, March 4, 2026 – The Europe Today: An Iranian ballistic missile struck the United States’ military base at Al-Udeid in Qatar on Tuesday, according to the Qatari Ministry of Defense, as tensions escalate across the Gulf following retaliatory actions by Tehran against recent US-Israeli attacks.

In a statement, the ministry said Qatar was targeted by two ballistic missiles during the incident. Air defense systems successfully intercepted one of the incoming missiles, while the second missile hit the Al-Udeid Air Base, which hosts US and coalition forces.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported as a result of the strike.

The ministry noted that the country’s air defense units responded promptly to the threat and managed to neutralize one of the missiles before impact. The second missile struck within the base premises but did not cause any loss of life, according to media reports.

The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Iran reportedly launching strikes across several locations in the Gulf in response to recent military actions involving the United States and Israel.

Qatari officials have not yet announced additional security measures, but the situation continues to be closely monitored as developments unfold across the region.
