Baku, March 11, 2026 – The Europe Today: Transitional President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al-Sharaa held a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on March 10 to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations.
During the call, the two leaders expressed concern over rising tensions in the Middle East and stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could undermine the security and stability of countries in the region.
The conversation also focused on relations between Azerbaijan and Syria. Both leaders noted their mutual interest in strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
They also agreed to maintain contacts and continue dialogue aimed at enhancing cooperation and addressing issues of mutual interest.
