Jakarta, March 13, 2026 – The Europe Today: President Prabowo Subianto on Friday called on relevant authorities to ensure the reliable availability of fuel, electricity, and internet networks during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday to support smooth public activities and homecoming travel across Indonesia.
Speaking during the introduction to the Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta, the president emphasized the government’s commitment to maintaining stable supplies of essential services during the festive period. “We will strive to maintain a stable supply of fuel, electricity, and internet networks,” he said.
Prabowo also instructed authorities to improve the quality of services at rest areas, ports, airports, and railway stations to facilitate the smooth movement of travelers during the annual Eid homecoming. He further reminded the public to avoid overcrowding at transportation hubs and service points.
The president directed relevant ministers to ensure stable food supplies and maintain price stability ahead of Eid al-Fitr. He stressed that the Coordinating Minister for Food, along with the Ministers of Trade and Agriculture, must guarantee the availability and security of food stocks during the festive season.
“This is the second Eid al-Fitr of our administration. The Coordinating Minister for Food, the Minister of Trade, and the Minister of Agriculture must ensure a stable and secure food supply and maintain prices,” he stated.
In addition, Prabowo asked Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana to actively visit tourist destinations and encourage the promotion of tourism potential across various regions of the country.
Highlighting global uncertainty and crises affecting several countries, the president reassured the public that Indonesia remains capable of maintaining economic stability. “We still have the strength and capacity to keep life moving. The situation remains under control,” he said.
Prabowo also urged all ministries and institutions to make comprehensive preparations for the Eid holiday period to ensure that this year’s homecoming travel is smooth, safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.
“We assure you that this year’s homecoming will proceed smoothly, safely, comfortably, and joyfully. Prioritize road safety and prepare everything thoroughly,” he added.
