Islamabad, March 23, 2026 – The Europe Today: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation on the occasion of Pakistan Day, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective resolve in overcoming challenges.
In his message, the President recalled that on this day in 1940, the Muslims of the subcontinent adopted the Pakistan Resolution, presenting the vision of a separate homeland where they could live freely in accordance with Islamic values.
He stated that Pakistan Day serves as a reminder that unity remains the most vital element in transforming national aspirations into reality.
The President noted that at the time of independence in 1947, Pakistan faced numerous challenges, but through mutual cooperation and determination, the nation successfully overcame difficulties and achieved significant progress in various fields.
He highlighted that Pakistan has developed an invincible defense capability, attained nuclear power status, and successfully fought a long and unconventional war against terrorism.
He also pointed out that the nation has demonstrated remarkable solidarity and sacrifice during natural disasters, setting exemplary standards of mutual support.
Referring to recent events, the President said that during the “Battle for Truth,” Pakistan responded to enemy aggression with courage and taught the adversary a lesson that will be remembered for a long time.
He further noted that the country continues to face challenges on both internal and external fronts, stressing the need for unity and resilience to address them effectively.
