Islamabad, March 25, 2026 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday stated that Pakistan stands ready to host talks between the United States and Iran, aimed at achieving a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing Middle East conflict.
In a message posted on X, the prime minister said that, subject to the concurrence of both Washington and Tehran, Pakistan would be “ready and honoured” to facilitate meaningful and conclusive dialogue.
He emphasized that Pakistan welcomes and fully supports ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the war, stressing that peaceful resolution is essential for regional and global stability.
Echoing this position, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi confirmed that Islamabad is prepared to host negotiations if both sides agree.
“If both sides agree, Pakistan is always ready to host talks,” Andrabi said in an interview with international media, reiterating the country’s willingness to play a constructive role.
In a separate statement, the spokesperson underscored Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to resolving conflicts through dialogue and engagement, particularly in the Middle East and Persian Gulf region.
“Pakistan, consistent with its longstanding policy, remains committed to the resolution of the ongoing conflict through diplomatic means and engagements,” he noted.
He further advised restraint in public discourse, urging media outlets to avoid speculation and await official announcements, highlighting the sensitive nature of diplomatic negotiations.
Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump shared Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement on his Truth Social platform, drawing wider international attention to Pakistan’s offer.
Pakistan’s initiative reflects its proactive diplomatic posture and commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and stability amid escalating tensions in the region.
