Pakistan, Kuwait Reaffirm Solidarity and Support Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad, March 27, 2026 – The Europe Today/GNP: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, during which both leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and reaffirmed close bilateral ties.

During the warm and cordial conversation, the Prime Minister strongly condemned the recent attacks on Kuwait and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kuwaiti people during these challenging times. He expressed heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also apprised the Kuwaiti leadership of Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and bringing an end to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Crown Prince expressed deep appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership and fully endorsed Pakistan’s mediation efforts, particularly in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States. He thanked Pakistan for its steadfast support to Kuwait during the current crisis and acknowledged the Prime Minister’s recent letter of solidarity addressed to the Kuwaiti leadership.

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah also conveyed his desire to visit Pakistan at the earliest opportunity once the situation stabilizes.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister thanked the Crown Prince and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting peace, stability, and dialogue across the region.
