Baku, March 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani female wrestlers delivered an outstanding performance at the Tallinn Open held in Estonia, clinching a total of five medals.
Leading the charge was Fatima Bayramova, who dominated the 53kg category with an exceptional display, defeating all seven of her opponents to secure the gold medal.
In the 49kg division, Nazrin Ahmadli earned a silver medal, while Rena Nuriyeva (61kg) and Simura Abdullayeva (69kg) also claimed silver in their respective categories.
Meanwhile, Khadija Gurbanzada secured a bronze medal in the 49kg class, adding to Azerbaijan’s overall tally.
The strong showing at the international tournament highlights the growing strength and competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s women’s wrestling on the global stage.
