Islamabad, March 30, 2026 – The Europe Today: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday held a high-level meeting to review the overall national security situation, amid evolving regional developments and their implications for Pakistan.
According to a press release issued by the President Secretariat’s Media Wing, the meeting focused on assessing the changing regional dynamics and their potential impact on the country’s security and stability.
The session was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. National Security Adviser Lieutenant General Asim Malik was also present.
During the meeting, participants held detailed consultations on key economic, energy, and security challenges facing the country. The leadership underscored the importance of adopting a coordinated national strategy and ensuring institutional harmony to effectively address emerging challenges.
The meeting reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding national interests while promoting stability and resilience in the face of complex regional developments.
