Kyiv, March 30, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that he held a phone conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, during which they discussed the recent incident involving Ukrainian drones entering Finnish airspace.

“Of course, we mentioned the recent drone incident that took place in Finland. Alex and I see this situation the same way. We are providing all the necessary information,” Zelenskyy said in a statement shared on Telegram.

The Ukrainian leader also briefed his Finnish counterpart on his recent diplomatic engagements in the Middle East and Gulf region, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance regional cooperation and stability.

“Strategic agreements are already in place, and our contribution to security and stabilization can be significant,” he noted.

Zelenskyy further revealed that both leaders are working on establishing “communication formats” with other European leaders to strengthen coordination on key regional issues.

“Unwavering attention is also being paid to work on the American track,” he added, underscoring continued engagement with the United States.

The drone incident came to light on Sunday, March 29, when two drones reportedly entered Finnish airspace, prompting concern among authorities.

Finland’s Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen said Helsinki is treating the matter with utmost seriousness. He confirmed that an investigation is underway and that further details will be released once the facts are fully established.

The development underscores growing security sensitivities in Northern Europe amid ongoing regional tensions and heightened vigilance over airspace violations.
