Ashgabat, March 31, 2026 – The Europe Today: A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Gurbanov and Ambassador of Türkiye to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok, focusing on further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the talks, both sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the continued development of bilateral relations, while also exchanging views on key regional and international developments.
The diplomats noted with satisfaction the high level of political and diplomatic engagement between the two countries. They also highlighted the positive experience of cooperation within international platforms and reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting each other’s initiatives on the global stage.
Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing trade and economic ties, as well as deepening collaboration in the energy and transport sectors—areas identified as key pillars of the bilateral partnership.
The meeting further explored prospects for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the organization of joint events and mutual participation in international forums aimed at strengthening people-to-people connections.
At the conclusion of the discussions, both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in advancing and broadening the multifaceted partnership between Turkmenistan and Türkiye, underscoring their commitment to sustained and mutually beneficial cooperation.
