Karachi, April 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ethiopian Embassy Islamabad, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, inaugurated the “Ethiopian Enclave” at the Pakistan Travel Mart 2026, which commenced on Friday at the Karachi Expo Center.
The Ethiopian Enclave has been curated to highlight the country’s rich historical heritage, diverse tourism destinations, and vibrant cultural identity, offering visitors an immersive experience of Ethiopia’s unique traditions.
The inauguration attracted high-profile participation, including senior officials of the Government of Pakistan such as Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism, and Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation.
Visitors to the pavilion were treated to a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, providing a cultural touchpoint while facilitating discussions on expanding bilateral cooperation in the tourism, hospitality, and travel sectors.
The exhibit garnered significant attention from residents of Karachi, media representatives, and travel industry stakeholders, effectively positioning Ethiopia as an emerging and attractive destination for Pakistani travelers.
The Ethiopian Enclave will remain open to visitors at Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 until April 5 (Sunday), continuing to promote cultural exchange and tourism collaboration between the two nations.
