Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Amid Escalating US-Israeli Offensive

Trump

Washington, April 5, 2026 – The Europe Today: US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, declaring that Tuesday “will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day” as tensions intensify in the ongoing US-Israeli military campaign against Tehran.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump signaled potential strikes on critical Iranian infrastructure, warning that Iran must reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences. “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” he wrote.

The US president further cautioned Tehran, stating that failure to ensure free passage through the Strait of Hormuz would result in dire repercussions. The waterway is a crucial global energy corridor, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil supply passes.

Regional tensions have sharply escalated since February 28, when the United States and Israel launched a joint offensive targeting Iran. According to reports, the conflict has resulted in more than 1,340 fatalities, including senior leadership figures such as Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Tehran has carried out retaliatory drone and missile strikes against Israeli targets, as well as against locations in Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf countries hosting US military assets. Iran has also imposed restrictions on maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns over global energy security and international shipping.

The situation continues to heighten fears of a broader regional conflict, with the international community closely monitoring developments and urging restraint to prevent further escalation.
