Pakistan

Islamabad, April 7, 2026 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s “unwavering solidarity and support” with Saudi Arabia following an attack reportedly carried out by Iran on a petrochemical complex in Jubail.

The development comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East after the reported strike targeted a key industrial facility in the Saudi city of Jubail, an important hub for the Kingdom’s energy and petrochemical sector.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the premier held a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Salman to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing hostilities.

During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the attack on the Al Jubail oil facility and reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for the Kingdom in the face of such incidents.

“PM Shehbaz reaffirmed unwavering and unflinching solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the wake of the ongoing attacks, and reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the attack on the Al Jubail oil facility earlier today,” the statement read.

Pakistan’s expression of support underscores its close strategic and diplomatic ties with Saudi Arabia, as regional stakeholders closely monitor the situation for potential implications on stability and energy security.
