Pakistan–Turkmenistan Business Ties Gain Momentum as LCCI Delegation Meets Embassy Officials in Islamabad

Islamabad, April 8, 2026 – The Europe Today:  A meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with representatives of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), led by its Secretary General Shahid Khalil, to explore avenues for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the LCCI delegation expressed keen interest in strengthening collaboration with the Embassy to identify new opportunities for expanding practical engagement between the business communities of Pakistan and Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side briefed participants on ongoing economic reforms initiated under the country’s leadership, highlighting their role in accelerating foreign trade and fostering deeper integration into the global economy. Officials underscored Turkmenistan’s growing trade and export potential, driven by its vast natural gas reserves, along with exports of petroleum products, textiles, and agricultural commodities.

Particular emphasis was placed on upcoming international business forums scheduled for the year, which are expected to attract hundreds of business representatives from across the globe, offering a platform to promote partnerships and investment opportunities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to identifying new avenues for mutually beneficial trade and stressed the importance of active participation by business communities in joint forums and exhibitions to further strengthen bilateral economic ties.
