Ashgabat, September 20, 2024 — The Europe Today: A meeting between the Rector of S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, Allaberdi Gapurov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Al Hay Al Hameli, was held on September 18, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen ties in education and agriculture between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
Rector Gapurov warmly welcomed Ambassador Al Hameli and provided an overview of the university’s structure and operations. He outlined the significant initiatives being undertaken, including collaborations with 13 parallel higher education institutions, 5 companies, and the Beijing Botanic Garden, which are helping to expand the university’s international footprint. Gapurov also highlighted the numerous international conferences, competitions, and events hosted by the university and proudly spoke of the construction of a new Agricultural University in the city of Arkadag.
In his remarks, Ambassador Al Hameli praised the progress made by Turkmenistan in developing its science, education, and agricultural sectors, expressing optimism for future cooperation. The meeting also discussed the growing relations between Turkmenistan and Arab countries, including the UAE, with an emphasis on future partnerships in educational competitions, forums, and collaborative initiatives.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to enhancing scientific and agricultural development through educational collaboration between the two nations.
