Trump Blames Biden and Harris for Iran’s Retaliatory Strike on Israel

Washington, October 2, 2024 – The Europe Today: Former US President Donald Trump has held President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris responsible for Iran’s retaliatory strike on Israel, which took place Tuesday night. Speaking at a campaign rally in Waunakee, Wisconsin, Trump criticized the Biden administration for its handling of Iran and claimed that his leadership would have kept Tehran in check.

During the rally and on his Truth Social platform, Trump argued that Iran was “starved for cash, fully contained, and desperate to make a deal” under his presidency, suggesting that the current administration had allowed the situation to escalate by lifting sanctions. He accused Vice President Harris of enabling Iran’s resurgence by “flooding them with American cash.”

The escalation comes after Tehran launched ballistic missile strikes in response to the assassination of senior Hamas and Hezbollah figures by Israel. Both nations have exchanged conflicting reports on the effectiveness of the attack, while Israel has vowed a strong retaliatory response, expected in the coming days.

Trump further warned that Biden and Harris were leading the country “to the brink of World War III,” suggesting that if Democrats win the upcoming presidential election, global instability would increase. The ongoing Middle East crisis has created tensions within the Democratic Party, as some of its supporters have protested continued arms shipments to Israel amidst its military siege of Gaza.
