Artistic Gala Held in Urumqi to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps

Urumqi, October 07, 2024 – The Europe Today: An artistic performance was staged in Urumqi, the capital of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Sunday night to commemorate the 70th founding anniversary of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).

Vice Premier He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, led a central delegation to the event, where they joined people from various ethnic groups and walks of life in celebrating the occasion.

The performance highlighted the significant achievements of the XPCC over the past seven decades, focusing on its reforms, promotion of high-quality development, and efforts toward modernization, particularly since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.

A central delegation of 24 members, led by He Lifeng, arrived in Urumqi on Sunday afternoon to participate in the anniversary celebrations. The event showcased the unity and progress of the region, reflecting the CPC’s ongoing efforts to advance prosperity and stability in Xinjiang.
