Ashgabat, October 12, 2024 –The Europe Today: National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, who is on a working visit to Turkmenistan, as reported by NHC.
During the meeting, Chairman Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed President Zardari and congratulated him on receiving the jubilee medal commemorating the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy. He expressed optimism that President Zardari’s visit would serve as a significant milestone in fortifying bilateral relations, highlighting the considerable potential for cooperation between the two nations.
President Zardari expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and congratulations, underscoring the importance of fostering cooperation with Turkmenistan, a country that, through its policy of neutrality, promotes peace and stability in the region.
Both leaders acknowledged that the relationship between Turkmenistan and Pakistan is rooted in friendship, brotherhood, and equality, with shared historical and cultural values enhancing their partnership. They noted that cooperation is flourishing in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including within the United Nations and other international organizations.
The discussion also covered several critical issues on the bilateral agenda, aimed at furthering collaboration between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Berdimuhamedov and Zardari wished each other health and happiness, alongside peace and prosperity for the peoples of Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
