Islamabad, November 7, 2024 – The Europe Today: In a grand event celebrating Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, prominent dignitaries, including Federal Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, gathered in Islamabad. This occasion marked Azerbaijan’s victory in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, commemorating the nation’s historic triumph and resilience.
The celebration drew an esteemed audience, with ambassadors from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Sudan, Oman, Malaysia, and Indonesia in attendance, underscoring the significance of Azerbaijan’s success and the event’s diplomatic importance. The gathering also included Executive Director of PRCCSF, international expert and scholar Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Central Asia expert Mr. Muhammad Ali Pasha, Mr. Zaildar Ahsan Shah, Ms. Fatima Tuz Zehra, Editor-in-Chief of The Gulf Observer, and Mr. Qaiser Nawab. Together, the attendees cut a cake symbolizing the warm, enduring relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The ceremony underscored the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, founded on mutual respect, shared history, and strategic cooperation.
