Bishkek, January 5, 2025 – The Europe Today: The electronic commerce market in Kyrgyzstan reached an impressive 3 billion soms during the period of January to November 2024, according to a report by Tazabek.
Since the start of the year, companies operating in the e-commerce sector have contributed 56.1 million soms in taxes. The e-commerce tax, set at 2% of proceeds, has shown remarkable growth, with a collection rate 6.3 times higher compared to the previous year.
This tax is applicable to companies and sole proprietors who sell goods online without a registered domain name or IP address in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The rapid growth in e-commerce tax collection reflects the increasing prominence of digital trade in Kyrgyzstan’s economy, underscoring the sector’s significant potential for future development.
