Ambassador of Turkmenistan Welcomes Newly Appointed Hungarian Ambassador in Islamabad

Islamabad, September 17, 2025 — The Europe Today: Ambassador of Turkmenistan H.E. A. Movlamov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan, Zoltán Varga, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Ambassador Movlamov extended his warm congratulations to Ambassador Varga on presenting his credentials to the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, and wished him success in his new assignment.

The Turkmen diplomat also briefed his Hungarian counterpart on the activities of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, highlighting its pivotal role in fostering relations with government institutions, business communities, and cultural representatives in Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of the Corps in advancing economic and cultural initiatives, as well as in reinforcing cooperation between Pakistan and the wider international community.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness for constructive engagement within the diplomatic community in Islamabad and underlined the significance of strengthening interregional ties. They stressed that such efforts would contribute to stability, mutual understanding, and sustainable development in the region and beyond.
