Muscat, January 7, 2026 – The Europe Today: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Halimat bint Rashid al-Zari, Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority of the Sultanate of Oman, to discuss ways to strengthen entrepreneurship and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Oman.
The meeting focused on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, enhancing women’s economic empowerment, supporting youth-led business initiatives, and promoting innovation-oriented projects.
Leyla Aliyeva highlighted state programs and public initiatives in Azerbaijan aimed at developing the non-oil sector, including entrepreneurship support and innovation promotion.
Halimat al-Zari expressed Oman’s interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in these areas. Both sides agreed to establish direct contacts between business representatives and to develop specific mechanisms for future collaboration.
