Islamabad, May 9, 2026 – The Europe Today: Her Excellency Irena Gancheva joined Pakistan’s Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik as guest of honor at the inauguration of a community children’s library under the “KITAB Project” and a tree plantation initiative organized by the DICE Forum at Fatima Jinnah Park.
The event highlighted the importance of literacy, education, environmental protection, and sustainable development for Pakistan’s future.
The programme also included a visit to the Sundus Foundation Thalassemia Center, where participants acknowledged the organization’s efforts in supporting patients, raising awareness, and promoting prevention of the disease in Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Gancheva praised the DICE Forum for launching what she described as an inspiring initiative aimed at promoting education and community welfare.
She emphasized the lasting role of books in shaping minds, strengthening critical thinking, and encouraging personal growth, particularly among younger generations.
The ambassador further noted that education, healthcare, and environmental protection are interconnected responsibilities that can contribute to meaningful and sustainable social progress.
The event concluded with a call for collective action to help build a brighter and more sustainable future through community engagement and cooperation between Pakistan and Bulgaria.
