Baku, July 10, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan celebrated Diplomatic Service Day on July 9 with an official reception and concert held at the Gulustan Palace, attended by senior government officials, diplomats and representatives of international organizations.
The event brought together high-level representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various state institutions, members of the Milli Majlis, as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Azerbaijan.
Addressing the gathering, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev, and Morocco’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammed Adil Embarch congratulated members of the diplomatic service on their professional holiday and extended their best wishes for continued success in their work.
The speakers highlighted the pivotal role played by Azerbaijani diplomats in implementing the country’s pragmatic foreign policy and advancing and safeguarding its national interests on the international stage. They also reviewed Azerbaijan’s major foreign policy achievements, outlined future diplomatic priorities, and acknowledged the valuable contribution of the diplomatic corps to enhancing the country’s international standing.
The speakers further emphasized that the diplomatic service continues to play a key role in advancing Azerbaijan’s foreign policy agenda under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, while strengthening the country’s engagement with the international community.
The official reception concluded with a cultural concert held in honour of Azerbaijan’s Diplomatic Service Day.
