Baku, August 31, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, is on a working visit to the Republic of Türkiye, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
As part of the visit, Hasanov attended graduation ceremonies on August 30 at the Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy of the National Defense University of the Republic of Türkiye.
President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the ceremonies and congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their military education.
Following the address, diplomas were presented to the graduates in accordance with the programme of the ceremonies.
Colonel General Zakir Hasanov presented diplomas to Azerbaijani graduates who successfully completed their studies at the Turkish military academies.
The participation of Azerbaijani military personnel in the graduation ceremonies highlights the close defense and military educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
