Ankara, August 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Monday joined NSosyal, the newly launched Turkish social media platform, making his first post on the network.
Fidan’s debut message echoed the inaugural post earlier in the day by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who marked the platform’s launch with the tagline “We are starting”, accompanied by the Turkish flag, globe, and rocket emojis.
The platform has quickly gained traction nationwide. Selçuk Bayraktar, Chair of the TEKNOFEST Executive Board and the Board of Trustees of the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation, announced on his NSosyal account that the number of registered users has already surpassed one million.
NSosyal’s rollout is being highlighted by top Turkish officials as a significant step in strengthening the country’s digital presence and promoting homegrown platforms.
