Hanoi, October 5, 2025 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation, on Sunday officially launched a national emulation campaign to celebrate the upcoming 14th National Party Congress and the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
The launch ceremony took place in Hanoi and was connected online to 34 provinces and cities nationwide.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Chính called for collective efforts to make meaningful achievements in celebration of the forthcoming 14th National Party Congress, while expediting the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress. He recalled that since President Hồ Chí Minh’s historic Call for Patriotic Emulation in 1948, the spirit of emulation has become a powerful source of patriotism, self-reliance, and unity across the Party, people, and armed forces—contributing to Vietnam’s historic victories and development milestones.
The Prime Minister highlighted notable outcomes of recent emulation movements, including the nation’s solidarity in combating COVID-19, the elimination of temporary and substandard housing five years ahead of schedule, the rapid completion of major power transmission lines and highways, and steady socio-economic progress coupled with political stability.
He further noted the effective implementation of administrative reforms and the two-tier local government model, reflecting the government’s commitment to streamlined governance and efficiency.
Describing the 14th National Party Congress as a defining political event for Vietnam’s future, Prime Minister Chính underscored that the emulation campaign would serve as a crucial driving force to achieve the objectives outlined in the 13th Congress Resolution, guided by the motto: “High determination, decisive action, and practical results.”
He urged that emulation activities be practical, result-oriented, and free from formality or superficiality. Leaders at all levels, he emphasized, must lead by example through innovation, dedication, and service to the people.
Prime Minister Chính also called upon enterprises, entrepreneurs, and workers to be at the core of innovation and productivity movements, while encouraging citizens to uphold patriotism, solidarity, and contributions to national development, social harmony, environmental protection, and the safeguarding of the Fatherland.
He further appealed to the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, mass organisations, and the media to foster public enthusiasm, promote exemplary role models, and strengthen trust in the Party.
Expressing his confidence in the success of the campaign, Prime Minister Chính affirmed that the movement would kindle national unity, patriotism, and creativity—propelling Vietnam toward new milestones of prosperity, civilisation, and happiness.
