Islamabad, October 29, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high-level Chinese business delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and Precise Development (HK) Limited visited Pakistan’s Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Islamabad on Tuesday to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in the maritime and logistics sectors.
The delegation was received by the Honorable Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, along with senior officials of the ministry. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Pakistan and China in modern port operations, shipping connectivity, and maritime infrastructure development. Both sides underscored the importance of deepening bilateral engagement to promote trade integration and regional maritime connectivity under the broader China–Pakistan economic framework.
The Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Yi Jiang, Director of ACFIC, and included Mr. David Chu, Chief Executive Officer of Precise Development (HK) Limited, and Ms. He He Amanda, Director of Precise Development (HK) Limited. Other members represented several prominent Chinese logistics and industrial entities, including Yunchuan Cross-Border Logistics Company, Aviation Industry Association, Sanlian International Corporation, Super Era International Company, and Xinfeng Iron Transport Company. The visit was facilitated by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, who is currently hosting Chinese B2B collaborations in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the Chinese delegation commended the Ministry of Maritime Affairs for its continued efforts in developing Pakistan’s maritime infrastructure and implementing port modernization initiatives. They acknowledged the Ministry’s strategic vision for advancing the blue economy, strengthening regional trade, and positioning Pakistan as a vital hub for shipping and logistics in South Asia.
Both sides discussed opportunities for establishing direct shipping lines between China and Pakistan, encouraging Chinese shipping companies to utilize Pakistani ports for cargo operations, transshipment, and regional distribution. They also explored potential partnerships in shipbuilding, port management, maritime training, and logistics innovation to further enhance cooperation.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration in the maritime sector and to identify key investment projects for early implementation. Both parties reaffirmed their determination to strengthen Pakistan–China maritime cooperation, support sustainable port development, and promote economic integration through improved sea connectivity.
The Chinese representatives also appreciated the contributions of Mr. Muhammad Jawad Akhtar, Advisor to the Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, for his consistent support and facilitation of Chinese enterprises operating in Pakistan.
