Paris, December 23, 2023, The Europe Today: French authorities detained two individuals for questioning following the grounding of a flight to Nicaragua, which had over 300 Indian passengers on board, amid suspicions of human trafficking.
The move came in response to an anonymous tip-off received by the Paris prosecutor’s office, indicating the possibility of individuals being victims of human trafficking.
The flight, arriving from the United Arab Emirates and operated by Romania-based charter company Legend Airlines, was halted on Thursday during a refueling stop at Vatry airport in eastern France.
This incident underscores the vigilance and proactive measures taken by law enforcement to address potential threats and ensure the safety and well-being of individuals involved in international travel.
