Discussions at the meeting focused on strategies to diversify and strengthen bilateral economic relations between Turkmenistan and the United States. A key outcome of the meeting was the joint planning of a visit by a representative American business delegation to Turkmenistan later this year.

Ambassador Orazov, along with Ambassador Ch. Atayev, the head of the Americas Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, engaged in negotiations with the executive director of the Business Council, Eric Stewart. The talks also involved representatives from major American companies, including John Deere, Case New Holland, Boeing, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Climate Compass, Zeppelin, UGT Renewable, Caterpillar, Oxbow, Honeywell, and Palo Alto Networks.

Various sectors, such as investment, finance, banking, agriculture, oil and gas, transport, logistics, and technology, were extensively discussed during the meeting, laying the groundwork for potential collaboration.

Eric Stewart expressed optimism about the evolving relationship between the two nations, noting that bilateral ties have reached a new level. He specifically highlighted Turkmenistan’s recent accession to an international agreement aimed at reducing methane emissions, which garnered a positive response from the American business community.

The Turkmen delegation affirmed its keen interest in expanding economic partnerships with American businesses. Representatives from the participating American companies expressed positive sentiments regarding the ongoing dialogue and welcomed proposals for new areas of cooperation.

As Turkmenistan actively seeks to diversify its economic landscape, the discussions underscored the mutual commitment to fostering robust cooperation and exploring opportunities for shared growth and development.
