Turkmen Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Discusses Information Cooperation and Cultural Events with Arab News Deputy Editor-in-Chief

Riyadh, February 15, 2024, The Europe Today: The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Saudi Arabia, Orazmuhammet Charyev, engaged in a productive meeting with Nur Nugali, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Arab News newspaper, as reported by the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, both parties explored avenues for further cooperation in the information sphere, emphasizing the potential for comprehensive coverage of the evolving Turkmen-Saudi relations. The discussions centered on enhancing mutual understanding and fostering positive narratives in the media to promote the cultural and diplomatic ties between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia.

In a gesture of cultural exchange, the Turkmen diplomat presented the first book authored by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, titled “Youth is the Support of the Motherland.” The ambassador underscored the significance of cultural connections in building bridges between nations.

Ambassador Charyev highlighted that 2024 in Turkmenistan has been declared the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi,” commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the esteemed Turkmen thinker and poet. In light of this celebration, representatives of Arab News were extended an invitation to participate in various international cultural and scientific events scheduled in Turkmenistan.

The exchange of ideas and the cultural invitation underscore the commitment of both Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia to strengthen their bilateral relations not only at the diplomatic and economic levels but also through fostering mutual understanding, appreciation of cultural heritage, and collaboration in the realm of information dissemination.
