Uzbekistan and Belize Forge Diplomatic Ties with Joint Communiqué Signing

New York, March 08, 2024, The Europe Today: In a historic development, a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belize was signed in New York City. The document, underscoring a commitment to fostering bilateral cooperation, was formalized by the Permanent Representatives of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, Ulugbek Lapasov, and Belize, Carlos Fuller, acting on behalf of their respective governments.

During the signing ceremony, both parties conveyed a robust interest in enhancing collaboration within international organizations, with a particular emphasis on the United Nations and its specialized agencies. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to addressing global challenges through collective efforts.

The diplomatic discussions also yielded an agreement to elevate the level of interaction, aiming to identify mutually beneficial areas for bilateral partnership. This move is poised to strengthen the ties between Uzbekistan and Belize, fostering a collaborative approach in various fields.

This announcement comes in the wake of another diplomatic milestone for Uzbekistan, as on March 5, in New York City, a Joint Communiqué on establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein was also successfully signed. These recent diplomatic initiatives underscore Uzbekistan’s proactive approach in engaging with the global community and fostering constructive relationships with nations worldwide.
