Beijing, May 03, 2024, The Europe Today: Chinese President Xi Jinping has issued a rallying call to the youth of China, urging them to embrace their role in shaping the nation’s future and contributing to its modernization efforts. In his messages ahead of China’s Youth Day, which is celebrated on Saturday, President Xi emphasized the pivotal role that young people play in various spheres, from scientific innovation to social development.
As the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping extended warm greetings to the nation’s youth on behalf of the CPC Central Committee. He commended the youth for their dedication and described them as “spearheads and vital forces” across different domains, including scientific advancement, rural revitalization, environmental sustainability, social welfare, and national defense.
President Xi expressed the CPC Central Committee’s unwavering trust in and high expectations for the youth of China. He underscored the significance of the current era, marked by the 75th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 105th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. Xi urged young people to uphold the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, demonstrating unwavering loyalty to the Party and actively contributing to the nation’s journey toward strength and rejuvenation.
Furthermore, Xi Jinping highlighted the importance of Party organizations at all levels in guiding and supporting the youth. He emphasized the need for these organizations to provide mentorship, nurture talent, and facilitate the realization of young people’s aspirations. The Communist Youth League of China was singled out for its pivotal role in mobilizing and galvanizing young citizens to advance the goals of the Party and the nation.
