Beijing, September 06, 2024, The Europe Today: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra announced the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic partnership during a high-level meeting on Friday. The discussions took place amidst the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), where both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in key areas.
President Xi highlighted the significance of the Forum, encouraging the Central African Republic to capitalize on the economic and trade opportunities announced at the summit. He expressed China’s commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors and underscored that the ultimate goal of China’s modernization efforts is to improve the lives of its people—a vision shared with its African partners.
