Baku, October 05, 2024 – The Europe Today: The city of Jabrayil marked a historic milestone by celebrating the “Day of Jabrayil City” with the enthusiastic participation of its native inhabitants, according to the News Hub Consultants. The event highlighted the city’s cultural revival following its liberation.
Key dignitaries attending the event included Minister of Culture Adil Karimli and Vahid Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts. Intellectuals, artists, and notable public figures also graced the occasion.
The celebrations commenced with a concert featuring performances by the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble and other artistic showcases. Visitors also explored exhibitions that captured the ancient and contemporary history of the Jabrayil district, emphasizing its rich cultural heritage.
The festivities concluded with a magnificent fireworks display, illuminating the skies above the city.
This celebration follows a presidential order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on July 31, 2023, establishing City Days in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. As per the order, October 4 will now be commemorated annually as the “Day of Jabrayil City.”
