Azerbaijan Resettles 33 Families in Khojavend as Reconstruction Efforts Continue

Khojavend, April 8, 2026 – The Europe Today: A total of 33 families, comprising 142 individuals, have been resettled in the city of Khojavend, where they were officially handed the keys to their newly constructed homes as part of Azerbaijan’s ongoing rehabilitation and resettlement program.

The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the Agdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, along with representatives from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and other relevant authorities.

The resettlement initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Azerbaijani government to restore liberated territories, rebuild infrastructure, and facilitate the safe and dignified return of internally displaced persons to their native regions.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating reconstruction work and ensuring improved living conditions, social services, and economic opportunities for returning residents.
