Hefei, October 19, 2024 — The Europe Today: Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on the country’s strategic missile troops to enhance their deterrence and combat capabilities to ensure they can effectively carry out their responsibilities. Xi, who also serves as general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made these remarks during an inspection of a brigade of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force on Thursday.
During the visit, Xi emphasized the importance of the Rocket Force in safeguarding national security and maintaining strategic stability. He urged the troops to remain resolute in fulfilling the tasks entrusted to them by the Party and the people, stressing that strengthening the military’s capabilities is essential for the country’s long-term peace and security.
