Riyadh, October 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to global investors on Tuesday, urging them to explore investment opportunities across Pakistan’s economy, while addressing the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh. Under the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” the PM positioned Pakistan as a nation ready to embrace a future of innovation and growth.
Highlighting Pakistan’s potential for international partnerships, particularly in healthcare and education, Prime Minister Shehbaz noted, “The future of human advancement lies in collaboration and working together. No single country can harness the potential of tomorrow without the support of others.” He encouraged investors to contribute their expertise as Pakistan advances along a path of resilience and shared prosperity.
The Prime Minister outlined Pakistan’s vision for a knowledge-driven economy, emphasizing the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), education, and healthcare. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to excelling in AI by equipping its workforce with specialized training for engineers and data scientists, preparing them to apply AI solutions across industries.
On education, Shehbaz highlighted the government’s push towards vocational training, digital literacy, and tech-based reforms aimed at cultivating a tech-savvy youth. He praised initiatives like the Daanish School system and the Education Endowment Program, which deliver quality education to deserving students.
In healthcare, he lauded young Pakistani medical professionals for their contributions to health-tech solutions, envisioning future international collaborations in medicine. Citing esteemed institutions such as King Edward Medical College, NUST, and Agha Khan University, the PM underscored Pakistan’s capability for advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
Concluding his address, Prime Minister Shehbaz made a fervent appeal for global peace, underscoring that aspirations for worldwide progress and prosperity cannot be realized without ending the violence in Gaza and restoring peace to the region.
