Baku, November 29, 2024 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia have formalized an agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports from visa requirements for short-term visits.
The Azerbaijani Parliament discussed the draft law on the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Saudi Arabia on waiving mutual visa requirements for short-term visits” during its session on Friday.
The memorandum, which was signed on September 27, 2024, in New York City, reflects the strengthening bilateral ties and mutual commitment to facilitating diplomatic and official travel between the two nations.
Following deliberations in the legislative body, the draft law was unanimously adopted.
The agreement is expected to bolster cooperation and ease travel for officials, diplomats, and special passport holders, further enhancing the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia.
