Baku, December 18, 2024 – The Europe Today: In an exclusive interview with Dmitry Kiselev, Director General of the “Rossiya Segodnya” International News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev underscored the robust and reliable partnership between Azerbaijan and Russia, emphasizing the mutual understanding and cooperation that has defined their bilateral relations.
“Today, Russia and Azerbaijan are two reliable partners, and I think that there is no doubt about this in Azerbaijan or Russia,” President Aliyev stated during the interview.
Reflecting on the longstanding ties between the two nations, President Aliyev noted their history of mutual support during challenging times. “As I have already said, in difficult times for our countries, we have always demonstrated understanding of the situation and acted in a friendly manner. I am confident that this will continue to be the case,” he remarked.
The Azerbaijani leader also highlighted ongoing efforts to deepen trade and economic relations, pointing to the discovery of new areas for cooperation as a cornerstone of their strategic partnership.
