Baku, January 20, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay tribute to the memory of those who lost their lives during the tragic events of 20 January.
During the solemn ceremony, the President laid a wreath at the “Eternal Flame” monument, honoring the sacrifice of the martyrs who played a pivotal role in Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed, further emphasizing the nation’s deep respect and gratitude toward its heroes.
This commemoration underscores the enduring significance of 20 January in the country’s history as a symbol of resilience and unity.
