Baku, February 20, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, on February 19.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the significance of the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held in Baku under the theme “The Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy in Strengthening Multilateral Cooperation in Asia.” They expressed confidence that the event would further enhance interparliamentary collaboration across the region.
Discussions also focused on the prospects for strengthening Azerbaijan-Indonesia relations, particularly in the realm of bilateral parliamentary cooperation. Both leaders underscored the importance of expanding ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries to foster mutual understanding and shared interests.
As a gesture of goodwill, Puan Maharani presented a keepsake to President Ilham Aliyev.
