Baku, February 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Republic of Azerbaijan accorded an official welcome to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, upon his arrival in Baku for a state visit.
A formal guard of honor was arranged in a square adorned with the national flags of both Azerbaijan and Pakistan. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev personally welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the venue.
As part of the ceremony, the chief of the guard of honor reported to the Pakistani Prime Minister, followed by the playing of the national anthems of both nations. The guard of honor then marched past President Aliyev and Prime Minister Sharif in a military procession.
Concluding the ceremony, the two leaders posed for official photographs, marking the beginning of high-level discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
