Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov Visits Victory Park in Baku

Baku, March 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: Olzhas Bektenov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid a visit to Victory Park in Baku today, where he was warmly welcomed by a guard of honor.

During the visit, Prime Minister Bektenov laid a wreath at the Victory Monument, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War.

The Prime Minister was given an informative briefing on the significance of Victory Park, which was constructed to honor the remarkable valor of Azerbaijan’s citizens during the war, celebrate the historic victory, and honor the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs.

Notably, the Victory Arch, a key feature of the park, stands 44 meters tall, symbolizing the 44-day Patriotic War. The arch is adorned with 44 columns at its entrance, reflecting the significance of the war’s duration.

Victory Park was inaugurated on November 8, 2024, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, marking a milestone in the country’s commemorative efforts.

Prime Minister Bektenov’s visit underscores the strengthening of cultural and historical ties between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
